Thigs are really shaping up at our photography ranch, the Rocking R6. We have added a few more blinds in some really active areas of the ranch, and we added 3 NEW ponds, by a few of the blinds. All this in preparation for photographers’ visits during the Laredo Birding Festival, Feb. 3rd and 4th, 2012. Images For Conservation Fund ( ICF ), has picked our ranch for 2 different photography tournaments, and I will be personally coaching the photographers that participate. There is some nice prize money involved, but more important, the opportunity for some fantastic images awaits 6 photographers, which is the most we will be entering. Anyone interested, please contact Images for Conservation Fund for more info. Feel free to email me or call me at 956-286-9605 with any questions.

Spent a few days at the ranch this weekend. The Turkeys and Quail are real active and showing off their breeding colors and “doing their thing” to attract the ladies! The males are all doing their best to ” show off “. Also, starting to see some “northbound” species, like ash throated sparrows, blue grossbeaks, and more… Even the moon looks cool ! Here are a few photos, taken within the last few days. ENJOY !!!

Spring colors and sounds are everywhere. ENJOY the birds !
Return trip from Yellowstone.
On our return trip from Yellowstone, which was a winter wonderland, I visited Farmington Bay, in Utah, one more time, and got some really nice flying eagle shots. I then visited the Sonoran Desert Museum, in Tuscon, Arizona. What a great place, spread over several acres. They have alot of different species in their natural settings. Here are a couple of images from the last few days. Enjoy !!!

After a stop in El Paso on Thursday, I plan to go to the Sonoran Desert Museum, near Tuscon, AZ. on friday, to shoot a variety of wildlife, including flying raptors. I will viagra reports with photos, as time permits. Look forward to some great images !!!
