Butch Ramirez – Wildlife / Nature Photographer from Laredo, Texas..
Images from South Texas and other regions
First published work – July/Aug. 2009 issue of Texas Sporting Journal
Current equipment-Canon 7D camera and Canon 300mm F2.8L lens. I first became interested in wildlife photograhy in the early 1980′s, using a 35mm Canon film camera. I became alot more involved and active in wildlife photography about 6 years ago, after purchasing a family Ranch in South Texas, ( Laredo ) area. This time I was really motivated by digital cameras and their capabilities. Most of my images are of native South Texas wildlife. Recently, I went to the Rocky Mountain National Park, Yellowstone, and The Tetons, where I photographed wildlife of those areas, along with some landscape images. I am totaly dedicated in providing my own style of a beautiful art form, from taking the images, processing my own work, and custom printing my own images. A hobby has now turned into a passion, sharing the beauty of the animals and their surroundings, hoping that we appreciate and respect them more. Future photo trips in 2010, will include Bald Eagles in Utah, and a winter trip to Yellowstone, in Feb. 2010.
My goal is to share some of what I have been fortunate to see, ‘ through my eyes ‘, in hope of touching you, and to create awareness of the world around us.
